The present Writ Petition is listed on office notice for certain clarifications.

Vide judgment dated 18.09.2026, while disposing of the present Writ Petition, this Court directed the Registry to hand over the cloned copy of the data contained in the hard disks to the Respondent No.2/GST Department (East). However, the Local Commissioners (LCs) have submitted a report seeking clarification as to the manner in which the aforesaid process is to be undertaken.

It is not disputed that the cloned copy of the data contained in the hard disks is presently available with the LCs. Accordingly, the LCs are directed to deposit the cloned copy with the Registry of this Court today itself.
