Heard Shri Nikhil Gupta, (through video conferencing) along with Ms. Prena Saroliya, learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri Ankur Agarwal, learned counsel for revenue.

Present petition has been filed for the following relief: "A. Issue a writ, order, or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 2 to decide the Rectification Application dated 16.01.2020 filed by petitioner under Section 161 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 r/w Section 161 of the Uttar Pradesh Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, in accordance with law and within a time-bound period as may be directed by this Hon'ble Court."

At the outset learned counsel for revenue states that the application shall be decided expeditiously.

Accordingly the writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No. 2 to proceed to deal with and decide the petitioner's rectification application dated 16.01.2020 (Annexure-4), as expeditiously as possible, preferably on or before 31.12.2025.
