Heard Mr. J. Sahu, learned Senior Counsel along with Ms. K. Sahoo, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr. R. Chimanika, learned Senior Standing Counsel appearing for the Central Excise & Customs Department.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking to quash the notice of show-cause dated 02.11.2023 under Annexure-3, referring to earlier notice of show-cause dated 13.07.2007 under Annexure-1, by which direction has been issued to the petitioner to appear on 10.11.2023 at 11.15 A.M in the chamber of Principal Commissioner, GST & Central Excise, Bhubaneswar.

As such, the present writ petition has been filed on 30.01.2024 and what has happened on 10.11.2023 and thereafter, nothing has been mentioned in the writ petition. In any case, against the notice of show-cause, this Court is not inclined to entertain this writ petition. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum.

Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of granting liberty as aforesaid.
