Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

The Petitioner is seeking pre-arrest bail as against the summons issued by Senior Intelligence Officer-cum-Additional Assistant Director, Directorate General Goods and Service Tax Intelligence summons dated 07.08.2026 under Section 70 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017.

Mr. Avinash Kedia, learned Jr. Standing Counsel has entered appearance on behalf of the CGST, Central Excise and Customs by filing appearance memo. The same is taken on record.

Registry is requested to reflect the name of Mr. Kedia, learned counsel in the cause list, brief as well as web portal of this Court.

Mr. Kedia, learned Junior Standing Counsel and Central CGST and Central Excise, on instruction submits that the apprehension of arrest is misconceived and the authorities do not intend to take the Petitioner to custody.

Accordingly, the ABLAPL stands disposed of.

Since the date fixed at Annexure-1 has already expired, as agreed at the Bar, it is directed that the Petitioner shall appear before the I.O. on 29.09.2026 at 11 AM and cooperate with the ongoing investigation.

Liberty is granted to the Petitioner to renew his prayer, if there is any perceptible threat of arrest.
