JUDGMENT

When this matter is taken up for consideration today, it is the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner may be permitted to withdraw this writ petition, leaving open all the contentions since the petitioner wishes to pursue an application under the Amnesty Scheme which is now in force. Having regard to the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is closed leaving open all the contentions of the petitioner and reserving the liberty of the petitioner to approach this Court again, if necessary at the later stage. It is also made clear that it will be open to the petitioner to pursue the application for settlement of liabilities under the Amnesty Scheme now in force. GOPINATH P.
