WP(C).No. 8679 of 2019 2 JUDGMENT The petitioner has approached this Court seeking directions to the respondents to issue police clearance certificate to the petitioner for the purpose of availing contract appointment under 1st and 2nd respondents.
The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that Ext.P2 FIR has been registered against the petitioner and the police clearance has therefore not been granted. It is submitted that the request made by the petitioner is liable to be considered and the police clearance is to be granted taking note of the factual aspects.
The learned Government Pleader submits that in Ext.P3 application, the column seeking details of criminal cases is answered as
WP(C).No. 8679 of 2019 3 ''nil'' by the applicant. The learned Government Pleader also submits that if a proper application is submitted showing the pendency of Ext.P2 also, appropriate action shall be taken on the same by respondents. The writ petition is therefore disposed of directing the petitioner to submit a proper application for police clearance certificate before the third respondent forthwith. In case such an application preferred within one week from the date of receipt of copy of this judgment, the application shall be considered by the third respondent and appropriate steps shall be taken thereon within a period of two weeks thereafter.
