Against Ext.P3 order of the Assistant Labour Officer under the Head Load Workers Act, the petitioner has preferred Ext.P4 appeal before the 2nd respondent District Labour Officer. The limited prayer at this stage is for a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on the appeal expeditiously, after hearing the petitioner.
I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for the respondents. On a consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made across the Bar, I dispose the writ petition with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P4 appeal within an outer time limit of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, after hearing the petitioner and others likely to be affected by any orders to be passed by the 2nd respondent.
