The contempt petition is filed complaining that the directions contained in the judgment dated 24/07/2019 in W.P.(C) No.17425/2019 is not complied with. The subject issue relates to the contract awarded to the contempt petitioner by the Kerala Water Authority . Anyhow, directions were issued to release the GST amount in terms of the contract entered into by and between the parties.
Today when the matter is taken up, learned Counsel appearing for the Kerala Water Authority submitted that the amount is to be paid by KIIFB, and the amount will be released to the petitioner on or before 23/10/2020. The learned Counsel for the contempt petitioner also submitted that the said submission can be recorded and the contempt petition can be closed.

Taking into account the respective submissions made across the Bar, I do not find any reason to proceed with the contempt petition in further. The contempt case is closed recording the above submissions. SHAJI P.CHALY JUDGE AJ
