The petitioner has approached this Court with the grievance that though the refund was allowed by the GST authorities for different years, the last of which was allowed on 22.11.2022, yet the refund claim has not been acted upon and the amount has not been released to the petitioner despite repeated efforts.

A legal notice has also been served upon the Department, which remains unanswered.

Learned counsel for the revenue states that an appropriate application for refund is required to be filed within a period of two years by virtue of the provisions applicable to the processing of refunds.

Be that as it may, we are of the view that as a legal notice has already been served upon the Department seeking a refund of various amounts pursuant to the orders of the authorities, it would be appropriate to dispose of this writ petition by requiring respondent No.3 to examine RAHUL JOSHI 2026.09.03 16:30 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Punjab & Haryana High Court, CHD
