Con.Case (C) No.239 of 2023 -2- JUDGMENT Dated this the 09th day of January, 2024 Learned Government Pleader has made available a copy of the Government order issued by the Finance Department, which shows that the CC first and final bills of the work undertaken by the petitioner has been sanctioned.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the final bill has been sanctioned after deducting 2% towards GST and the GST component due to the petitioner is not paid.

Insofar as the direction to pay the bill amount is complied with, the contempt proceedings are liable to be closed.
Accordingly, the contempt of court case is closed, leaving open the petitioner's liberty to challenge the shortfall in the final payment mentioned above, in appropriate proceedings.
